An avid sports fan since birth, the Gasman translated that love into a sports writing career, which began during his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University. The Gasman worked at Newsday and later tapped into the research field after graduating, working as a researcher for ESPN the Magazine.
His journey reached Delaware, where he covered NASCAR, Delaware State University and Wesley College athletics as well as high school sports for the Delaware State News. Four years and three awards later, including the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association’s top sports story in 2006, he is now back on Long Island working in higher education.
Opinionated, controversial and outspoken, the Gasman never holds back and channels this space for release on all things sports.
